The Perfect Weekend!

The start to a perfect weekend! Last weekend was so great, I got flowers sent to me at work, then after work, I was taken out to The Breaks, then to the movies, then out dancing, all just on Friday, on Saturday I went met two of the sweetest people ever, Brandon and Tasha Russel, they just got married, and I got to go to their wedding reception, then to the after party, on Sunday, it was lazy day, I slept in, then went grocery shopping and even that was adventure. I just had a good weekend all together, sure as heck makes Monday's hard to get through, at least I have next weekend to look forward to! What did you do this weekend that was interesting

I've been having fun lately!

I've been having a lot of fun lately! Going to a Reds game, Natural Bridge, fishing! I mean every day it's something new, and I love it. Things have really changed in my life, but I'm ok with that. This summer has been fun its sad to see it slowly go away.... But I like fall! There's Halloween, Thanksgiving, then Christmas, thats the thing, look to the future!!! You will never be too sad about seeing things go, if you think of whats to come!

Poison

I went to the Poison concert at the Expo center on Sunday! It was fun, unexpected though, I didn't know I was going until the day of, but hey I'm 23 I should randomly go to concerts even if it is a work night! Bret Michaels is who your seeing in the picture above, they put on a good show, but I couldn't help but notice Bret Michaels looked slightly pudgy... aren't rock stars suppose to be sexy? What happened there...Oh wait...when your a rock star you can get your very own reality show and have skanky woman fight over you no matter what you look like...thats right I was confused there for a minute!....Yes I'm referring to Rock of Love...and he announced there will most definitely be a Rock of Love 3...surprise surprise!

some pics from the beach

So I went to the beach but manly I got to see Mandy my roommate from college, it's been nearly a year! Shew it was good to see her...The top picture is Me, Mandy and her fiance Ross on the beach on St. George Island, it was a beautiful beach. The bottom picture is the crew from Tallahassee, Mandy, Ross, Me, Shannon, and John. They are the coolest friends, we are at a place called Barnacle Bills, this is where I had raw oyster's for the first time, FYI...NOT delicious! Raw Oyster's are the kind of food you could eat if you had to, but unless your starving you wouldn't really chose to eat them...but that's just me. Steamed oysters are a little more edible but still not delicious! I will post more pictures soon, but just want to post a few this morning!

Have a wonderful 4th of July! I'm going to Tallahassee Florida, I'll be back Monday night! I know I know what's in Tallahassee right? Mandy, my roommate from college it's my summer to go see her...so off I go! Everyone have a Happy and Safe 4th!

R.I.P Elisha

Z-Rockers I don't normally get too personal, but I just felt like sharing this with you, only because I think it will make you think more seriously about decisions you make in this life, and possibly make you appreciate life a little more I know it has me. Meet Elisha she's my 15 year old little cousin, she died Thursday June 19, 2008 at 2:30 in the morning. She was diagnosed with liver cancer just a few months ago and now she's gone. I remember the phone call that she wasn't feeling well and they were taking her to the hospital, with pain in her stomach, it seems like it was all down hill from that point on. I can't imagine going from a healthy, happy, 15 year old to incredibly ill and in and out of hospitals.

I attended her funeral Saturday June 21st at 1pm. It was terrifying to see her lying there in that coffin, 15 year old's don't die of cancer...at least that's what I thought, but guess what they do, and Elisha proved that. I know that all things happen for a reason and trust me, I believe very strongly in our heavenly father but man it's hard to see the plan...I guess it's cause I'm human, she was a good girl too, not a wild child, she was meek and mild, polite and kind hearted,
she was an angel on Earth, I guess she just needed to go be the Heavenly Angel like I knew she always was.

Pray daily, tell the ones you love you love them, smile at a stranger, laugh as loud as you can, give out hugs like their candy, turn the other cheek more often than not, and thank God you made it past 15....15 is just too young!

Rest In Peace Elisha, you will always be on my mind, and in my heart, I love you.

Happy Birthday mom and dad

Happy Birthday Mom and Dad....yeah my dad's birthday was June 12th my mom's birthday is June 19th. Exactly one week apart! You are looking at two of the greatest people on the face of the planet. My dad is my hero if there was EVER a man on the face of the planet who could rope the moon, its my father. My mom..AMAZING, she's ONE OF A KIND...I promise you they'll never be another one like her. I hate to brag but I have the picture perfect family.. well at least parents! I don't know why God chose me to be so blessed. Really...I don't understand but I am EVER SO GRATEFUL! Happy birthday mom and dad...YOU ROCK!!!
