R.I.P Elisha

Z-Rockers I don't normally get too personal, but I just felt like sharing this with you, only because I think it will make you think more seriously about decisions you make in this life, and possibly make you appreciate life a little more I know it has me. Meet Elisha she's my 15 year old little cousin, she died Thursday June 19, 2008 at 2:30 in the morning. She was diagnosed with liver cancer just a few months ago and now she's gone. I remember the phone call that she wasn't feeling well and they were taking her to the hospital, with pain in her stomach, it seems like it was all down hill from that point on. I can't imagine going from a healthy, happy, 15 year old to incredibly ill and in and out of hospitals.

I attended her funeral Saturday June 21st at 1pm. It was terrifying to see her lying there in that coffin, 15 year old's don't die of cancer...at least that's what I thought, but guess what they do, and Elisha proved that. I know that all things happen for a reason and trust me, I believe very strongly in our heavenly father but man it's hard to see the plan...I guess it's cause I'm human, she was a good girl too, not a wild child, she was meek and mild, polite and kind hearted,
she was an angel on Earth, I guess she just needed to go be the Heavenly Angel like I knew she always was.

Pray daily, tell the ones you love you love them, smile at a stranger, laugh as loud as you can, give out hugs like their candy, turn the other cheek more often than not, and thank God you made it past 15....15 is just too young!

Rest In Peace Elisha, you will always be on my mind, and in my heart, I love you.

Friends for Lunch!

Hey sometimes you just need to take pictures during lunch! This is a picture of my newly found friends, I love them already! From right to left, Ashley, Me (duh) and Nina! We all work out at the gym, and just here recently have been trying to set aside some girl time. We all three have very demanding jobs, and its hard sometimes to catch a nice sit down lunch but today we did, it was so quite and peaceful well all expect for the Cicada's echoing all around us...I can't wait for those annoying little bugs to go away for another 17 years .....

Anyways, the three of us gathered at The Landmark Inn, outside on the patio to be exact, and started to chit chat...WE talked about all the things girls normally talk about....and then some.... We are all SO very different yet alike enough to still have some things in common. Nina grew up in Russia then moved to Michigan at age 11, Ashley was raised in Colorado, I've yet to ask her how she ended up here and as for me, I am a Kentucky girl, born and raised. You know what they say, Kentucky girls best in the world, I am guessing that's why they both live here now hahaha!

If you have some good friends you don't spend time with, take a minute to pencil them in, who knows you might have a great time, and hey if you have a camera in your purse don't forget to snap a picture you never know when you will get a extra few minutes out of your day to spend it with friends!

Way to go Katrina

I'M SO PROUD OF YOU KATRINA!!!
She's not MY little sister but she might as well be, yesterday Katrina graduated from high school and I was so proud of her. Her graduation was at Rupp Arena yesterday at 4pm, she walked across the stage in her cap and gown and proudly accepted her diploma that she worked so hard for!!!

Way to go Katrina, be careful, life's not as easy as it looks, and that goes for every high school graduate, I know you think life has just begun and now your free, but be careful, as many good people you'll meet in this life, theres just as many bad...I'm not pessimistic just saying don't misjudge and get in trouble!

God Bless
