I did it!

So I did it! I donated blood, and I didn't even cry, sure I nearly passed out but I didn't whimper the first time hahahaha! No, I didn't almost pass out, however I did get a little light headed. But I take full responsibility for it, I didn't eat before I donated. The lady in the picture above is holding MY blood, yelp that big bag of red liquid was once courses through my veins, it's relatively disgusting once you think about it. From start to finish it only took about 45 minutes. I did though chill in the lobby for a good 25 minutes after donating. They wanted to make sure I was going to be fine to drive before I left. I just sat there and pigged out on Little Debbie's, how awesome is it when someone tells you have to eat some snack cakes....I was like YES MA'AM!

Look I donated blood and survived, now it's your turn. It doesn't hurt and its an easy way to save a life!

Lets Donate Blood together!

Listen up Z-Rockers! We're loosing.

UK fans are donating less blood than University of Arkansas fans. Their kicking our butts and I don't like to lose. So lets band together and do something about it. I'm going to be donating blood Friday at noon, on the lower level of the Flat Iron building on Hambley Boulevard in Pikeville, Between Hardee's and the J.W. Call funeral home.

Check it out....
When you donate blood, you not only could save as many as three lives but you will be eligible to win:

A pair of lower arena tickets to the UK-Arkansas game on Saturday February 23.

A Chance to win an SEC Tournament package for two including four nights at the Hyatt in downtown Atlanta (March 12-16) and reserved lower level game tickets for the entire tournament.

All donors will receive a game for life T-Shirt.

And I'll be there handing out movie passes to the first 10 people that donate blood. And Z-Rock Freeloader cards to EVERYONE who donates. So you're guaranteed, to at least walk away with some free stuff from Z-Rock and a really cool T-Shirt.

Meet me there, we'll donate together, Make sure you find me so we can take some picture together for the Z-Rock website. I'll be there this Friday February 22, 2008 at 12:00 (noon) if you need more information, call the radio station 606-437-4051 just ask for me, I'll be glad to take the call!

Come on Z-Rockers don't let me down!
Let's do this together!

OOBER FAN!

I've always said that Z-Rock fans are the VERY best, and this just confirms what I've always known. Brian Castle, an OOBER Z-Rock fan, said he got bored one night and couldn't sleep so he decided he was going to make some kick a*s graphic design for Z-Rock. This was in my e-mail this morning and I wanted to share it with you! Awesome job Brian, thats pretty impressive. Z-Rock listeners are by far the best out there. Brian says thanks.....because of Z-Rock he no longer listens to ANY of the CD's he has! Love ya'll!

The ever growing popularity of local act Stitch Rivet is reaching a point at which most bands dream. They have a music video to their song “Frankenstein”, a live DVD coming out in late February and are finishing up their latest music video to the song “Day by Day”. The self entitled album “Stitch Rivet” is on the radio and in the cd players of fans all across the state of Kentucky, West Virginia and Ohio. Fans have even more to look forward to with the recording of the latest album not yet entitled due out in April. Don’t let the fact that these boys are from the hills of Kentucky lead you to believe they aren’t getting attention from major players in the music industry.

Universal Records will be in attendance at their February 9th show in Lexington, and many other major labels are lining up to take a look at signing them. If you would like to support Stitch Rivet you should come to A1A Main Street Live on February 9th. They will be playing with Drowning Pool who’s song “Let the Bodies Hit the Floor” has been huge nationally thanks to being featured in the new Rambo movie and wrestling’s WWE and ECW.
