Yay for Ben!

My car is fixed! YAY!

Let me start with saying....I lied....it wasn't my alternator....it was my alternator belt. Ben figured it out when he felt the belt and pieces of it fell off in his hand! I wasn't disappointed though because it only took 30.00 bucks to fix it!

It took Ben about 10 minutes to get the original belt off.....No problem.....but then when he went to put the new one back on, he couldn't get it to fit....he tried EVERYTHING in the world, we even called my father to see what we were doing wrong (I say we like I did something to help, I was pretty much just there for moral support hahahaha!).....Anyways...after watching Ben get so frustrated I thought his head would bust, I thought....maybe just maybe they gave us the wrong belt....Guess what....They DID!

The right belt was an inch and half longer, no wonder the poor guy couldn't get it to go on. Once we got the right belt it took about 5 minutes to put it on, and before I knew it my car was fixed!

Way to go Ben! I am so proud!

If anyone sees Ben on the street stop him and pat him on the back.....he did such a good job!

My piece of junk!

To the left you'll see me with my piece of junk, to my right you'll see Ben with my piece of junk! Saturday night, around 10:30, Ben and I were....wait wait wait...before I go any further everybody meet Ben....he is my boyfriend....now that you've been introduced lets move on. Saturday night Ben and I were driving to his house, minding our own business when I notice my lights are dimming, and my RPM's are revving up for no reason.

"Pull over" Ben said, before we break down on a two lane road, lets see whats going on. So I did, and when I shut it off, to look under the hood, that was it. The car wouldn't turn back on. What now?....Start calling everyone we know.

Isn't it so funny how you think you have SOOOO many friends, until you need them then, they are no where to be found, Fortunately my cousin was kind enough to leave her two kids at home with her husband and drive a half hour away in the middle of the night to help us out! She gave us a jump start and followed us to his house...well, she followed us until the car broke down again. We finally decided to leave a note on the car, take a ride from my cousin and come back for the car in the morning.

Really this was just the beginning of the night, but I will save to rest of the story for some other time....

In the end, my alternator was bad......Ben is fixing today! YAY BEN!

Buy me something!

Hey! Just wanted everyone to know I moved! I'm officially living 10-15 minutes away from work. It feels amazing. I love being able to sleep until 7:00am in my very own bed, which by the way is what you're looking at the picture (like duh). I think that Z-Rock listeners should have me a house warming party! Wouldn't that be fun....buy Tia Maria from Z-Rock something for her new place.

Thing's I think I would get.

1. Dirty movies.

2. Ash trays.

3. Wine Holders.

4. Dirty Art Work.

Things I really need

1. Towels.

2. Cookware

3. Silverware

4. Mop and bucket.

You see the reason I didn't have an open to the public buy Tia Maria stuff for her apartment shower?

Not that I wouldn't appreciate, ash trays and dirty art work hahahaaha!

So I lied....Kinda

I told you on Friday about my family reunion...I told you how I was going to go on Sunday and have a miserable time....Well....Never happened..

My wonderful dependable family changed their mind about going the day of the reunion. And I wasn't about to drive 3 hours to the reunion by myself...so I dodge a bullet this year with the family reunion. But this just means that next year is going to be a doozie! Hard telling what my family will be doing or NOT doing within a whole other year....scary to even think about it!

HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!!

I'm telling you what....for it to have been a short work week, I sure am ready for the weekend! What do I have planned? Well, a whole lot of nothing, I am however going to make a 3 hour drive to Ohio for my family reunion on Sunday! I don't want to go, I mean don't get me wrong I love my family but....a whole lot has changed in my life since the last family reunion and I know they are all going to be full of questions. Sometimes I would rather just be ignored than have people be incredibly interested in what's new with me. Isn't it funny how you don't talk to people for a year then you all meet in a huge pick nick area and eats lots of potato salad, while you discuss how sad it is that Johnny and Sara split and how wonderful Jake is doing in college. Jake who's Jake?...I mean I meet a new cousin at every reunion I go to.

No joke...my last family reunion was like a bad episode of Jerry Springer. My 45 year uncle showed up with a 21 year old girlfriend he met at well....lets just say NOT church. One of my cousin's was dating a girl who's husband showed up at the reunion, and another girl cousin of mine introduced everyone to her new GIRLfriend...Boy I felt so normal after leaving that reunion I had to hug myself.

What have I done??????

I told you yesterday I had a hot mess on the top of my head. I knew that I needed to get highlights in a BAD way! But I had no idea that my long hair was outdated and well....so not hot. So I laid my years of long hair in the hands of Brad at Envy Salon! My journey began at 4:30. It started with just highlights then, Brad said....has anyone ever told you , that you have a VERY pretty face and all that hair is over powering it....No not really I thought but what do you suggest I said...I am just a DJ you are the hair expert! Cut it off he said, let me give you something modern and cute. I took a deep breathe in and said you know what.... GO FOR IT! We talked and laughed as he was cutting my hair which made me feel very comfortable. He told me how he had been doing hair for eight years, (which is crazy because he looks like he's my age)....anyways.....he went on to say that he had only been there for 2 weeks and the success he has had has been overwhelming...(the good kind though)....But the poor guy is doing it all on his own. I noticed he had three other stations to do hair at...He said he wanted to hire someone to fill those but so far has had no luck....I think it's cause he only wants to hire the best! After chatting like we were best friends for years, he turned me around to let me see the final product....my hair was shorter....MUCH shorter, but I LOVED IT!

What do you think...long or short is better? I feel so strange I've had my long hair since I was in Elementary school so it's a BIG change....but a much needed and welcomed one! I don't regret putting my hair in Brad's hands....he rocks, his salon rocks....and not only did I get a kicking new hair style I met a friend I plan on keeping for a while. BRAD YOU ROCK!

I have a hot mess!

I have a hot mess on the top of my head....it's called ROOTS! AHHHHHH! Seriously....I need highlights in a BAD way....And guess what....I'm getting them today! I made an appointment with Envy Salon, it's new salon in Pikeville. I'm thinking I'm going to do a split screen before and after type thing....let you see the before dark rooted Tia and the after (brad) gets a hold of me Tia! Let's hope it looks good, be sure and check my blog tomorrow for the before and after pics!
