Can I have some of your patience?

Z-Rockers, I realized today I have NO patience! I don't like to wait for ANYTHING! I hate standing in line, I hate stopping at long red lights, I hate being put on hold, I hate waiting for my food when I go out to eat, I mean the list goes on and on! I was standing in A WAY LONG line the other day for lunch and I noticed that within 5 minutes of standing there I was getting fidgety. I couldn't stand still almost like a 3 year old would do. The gentleman in front of me was in his mid 70's with two ladies around the same age, to accompany him and he was cool as a cucumber, the three of them just chatted light hearted about nothing and was fine with the fact that it would be at least another 20 minutes before we could even place our order. I on the other hand was huffing and puffing and to myself I kept saying over and over, come on, come on, lets hurry things up as if that was going to magically make the people preparing the food speed things up!

My question to you is, will I ever have patience like the old man in front of me? Is that something that comes in time, or am I doomed to be in a hurry for the remainder of time? I'm afraid I might miss something if I waste my time waiting in line, or on hold, or at a traffic light, but then again if I don't slow down I might miss something even more important on my quest to HURRY UP! Am I the only one like this or is everyone in a hurry now-a-days? Are you in a hurry?

Feel Free to Laugh at me!

I had a senior moment today..... As I was rushing out the door this morning, I remembered, I forgot my work out clothes, so I rushed back into my house, threw some shorts and t-shirt in a bag, and then went to find my tennis shoes, I thought I took them off by the door, so naturally that is where I looked first. They weren't there, so I checked underneath my bed, no shoes, maybe I left them in the bathroom I thought, but nope, there was nothing there but a wet towel and a pair of socks from last night. Crap, I'm going to be late for work looking for my tennis shoes, but I had to have them (I think the Y may frown on people with bare feet using their workout equipment.)

I started turning in to a living tornado, flipping things upside down, knocking things over, scattering folded clothes on to the floor, WHERE WERE MY SHOES! OH FORGET IT! I threw my hands up in defeat and left for work. The whole way to work, I pondered on what could have happened to my shoes, just then the heater in my car began to get extremely hot on my feet, so I quickly turned the heat to defrost, and leaned over to feel how hot the outside of my shoes were, and to my surprise I found my shoes, they were on my feet the whole time! I had no other choice but to laugh at myself. Getting mad wouldn't help, so I just rolled my eyes leaned back in my seat and laughed..................hysterically might I add................... I love being me.....

Do you have a best friend?

The world is in dire need of friends, Friends make the world go round, at least they make my world go round. One of my long time friends is coming to visit me, and I can't wait. She's one of those friends that no matter how long you go without seeing one another, when you finally do, you pick right back up from where you left off. I've known her for 10 years, and she knows so much about me and I her, but since I left Lexington and moved back here, we rarely see one another. It's no one's fault, life just happens and catching up with a friend often takes a back seat to work, and whatever else life occupies our time with. I have a best friend that lives back here and I love her like a sister, no I love her MORE than a sister. I think she would do more for me than a sister would and I know I would do more for her. And the best part about friends is that you can never have to many! Do you have a best friend? I think we should do a tribute to best friends. A wall of best friends. That's a good idea, I think I'll make it happen! Would you sign it?

Look at my teeth..............

Your looking at a cavity FREE mouth! I thought the pain I felt was a cavity but it was something different, something not so bad, and the dentist fixed it! I loved my new dentist, he was so nice, I go back tomorrow to get my teeth cleaned! The dentist told me I had nice teeth, it made me feel good so I smiled all day hahahaha! Well, I just wanted to let everyone know, I'm STILL cavity free and it feels good, I think I'll treat myself to some candy, (just joking)!

What would I do without you?

Firtst offt lett meh strart bye sayin thanck youe so muech two thoss whoo feehl compelleded to tail me I've midsspellled someting, I don't know how I made it through college without you. Seriously, I'm grateful.........but just think..... you made it through that whole sentence and knew exactly what I was talking about even though nearly every word was misspelled! With that being said, I'm not trying to be a smart Alic just thought I would let you know that misspelling something is not that big of a deal. Some of the greatest writers in the world couldn't spell. Am I one of the greatest writers in the world? Not even close.

OK, I'm over it just wanted to put that thought out there, in all honesty thanks for telling me when I've misspelled something, just because I'm a blonde doesn't mean I have to act like one, right? I'm going to the dentist today, not looking forward to it at all, especially since I forgot to bring my tooth brush and tooth paste to work with me. Dentist have one of the most nasty jobs in the world. Reaching into someones cavity filled mouth, and scrapping left over Chinese and Valentines Day chocolate off them....YUCK! Well, I'll let you know how my visit goes in my blog tomorrow.

Brush, Brush, Brush

Correct me if I'm wrong but......NOBODY LIKES TO GO TO THE DENTIST! But there's things in life we must do that we don't enjoy. I'm 22 years old and I have a total of ZERO cavities! I've always been big on brushing, flossing, and mouth washing, but some how a pesky little cavity formed in between two of my teeth, and IT HURTS! I can't chew anything with the left side of my jaw, and at first I thought I was OK with that but the more time that passes the more I miss chewing with my left side and plus my right jaw is getting a little over worked hahahaha! Randy Jones, here at the station says he has an INCREDIBLE dentist, One he has went to for over 20 years, so I'm thinking, (hook me up) and he does, not only does Randy hook me up he gets me an appointment for TOMORROW! Wow, am I really prepared to go to the dentist, tomorrow? Let's see, If I bring my tooth brush, tooth paste, floss, and mouth wash to work, I should be good! Wish me luck!

Happy Valentines Day!

Happy Valentines Day! I hope that you eat lots of candy and get lots of kisses! I like Valentines Day, I know, I know, it's a fake holiday, made up by man to sell flowers and candy, but still I'm on board with this corny holiday that comes only once a year! The best Valentines Day I ever had, was when I was in high school, my boyfriend, sent me flowers, balloons, candy, and shoes to school yes I said shoes. He heard me say I wanted a pair of shoes and he bought them and sent them to me on Valentines Day.....strange sure...... but incredibly sweet!

Don't forget that tonight I will be in the studio with you starting at 6:00, taking your dedications, so don't waste your money on a card, call me and dedicate a song to your loved one! It's going to be tons of fun so don't forget about it!

Community Service

I went to the United Methodist Church yesterday morning and helped Woman's Habitat for Humanity Spaghetti dinner sale. It was madness, they sold over 300 dinners! I helped bag desserts, put garlic bread in the dinners, and make bowl after bowl of salads. It was fun though, just to see what we could do when we all worked together! The woman who were in charge, did so much and they were so organized and in control of the situation! I was impressed with the way everything ran so smoothly. I was also impressed by how many people volunteered their time to help out, I saw people from Southeast Telephone, our radio station, and other local business's all over the community! It was a good experience and I'm thrilled I was part of it!

I love to babble......

I'm OK, if anyone was wondering....... My tore muscle is feeling better, and I can't wait to go back to working out! I walked at the YMCA yesterday for about 30 minutes, I wanted so bad to do some ab work outs and leg curls, but I knew I better take it easy! Boy, I'm glad it's Friday! I need this weekend! You know what I mean by saying I NEED this weekend, the sad thing is I know I won't do anything fun, for being 22 years old I have NO social life. I remember back in high school, and college I had so much fun, my roommate and I would go eat Mexican every weekend, mmmmmmm Mexican sounds good, I wonder if I can convince someone here at the station to join me for some Mexican today for lunch? I had a good lunch yesterday, good food, good company!
Well, I've babbled on about nothing for long enough.

My visit to the ER!

Well, it finally happened, working out landed me right in the ER! I was working out yesterday at the Y, when I decided to lay at an angle and pull my knee's to my chest, and on the FIRST ONE, something in my lower right abdomen, POPPED! Ouch, I felt instant pain! I laid on the bench for a second to see if the pain would go away, but it only got worse! NO!!!! I couldn't be hurt, I was just starting to see results, from working out, and tonight was my kickboxing class! I closed my eyes, and tried to make the pain ease up but it wasn't happening. I seriously wanted to cry, but I didn't. I told my trainer and some of the girls I was working out with, that I had to go. On my way to my car, the pain started to become sickening! What had I done to myself? I called my mom and told her what happened and she said I should go to the hospital! I for one, HATE going to the hospital! I debated for about 15 minutes on weather I should go or not, but when the pain started to move in to my back and then to my other side, I decided I should go.

To make this seemingly long story short, I got checked, I tore something, (I don't know what, but I tore something) they gave me a shot for pain, and an anti-inflammatory shot, and I went home! NOW I'M MAD! I can't work out for at least a week, MAN, that sucks! I am going to walk, I don't even care.... I AM walking tore muscle or not I'm walking! Well, just thought I would share my adventurous day with you!
