Lucille Smith!

Some of you may know Lucy, some of you may not but I did, and I will miss her. Lucy was the host of personal touch, on The Oldies Radio Network here at East Kentucky Broadcasting. Now, I didn't know Lucy as good as most that worked here because I had only worked with Lucy for 2 years, but I'll never forget our first introduction....
It was my first day and I was in a hurry to leave work (because it was quiting time) and she was just arriving, I opened the door for her as I was leaving, and she stopped me.
"Now who are you" she said
"Tia, I'm the new girl."
"Well, it's very nice to meet you young lady."
"You too" I said as I ran out the door.
I had no idea I had just met a local legend, Lucy was always kind to me, no matter how big of a hurry I was in to get out the door as she was coming in, she would say "hello honey, how are you?"
Sometimes I wish I would have took a few seconds to tell her how I really was instead of just smiling and saying
"Fine Lucy, thanks for asking."
She may have had a lot of wisdom to share with me.
Lucy passed away this morning, but she''ll never be gone from this radio station......
Lucy, Heaven HAS to have a radio station and I'm sure God will be willin to let you broadcast to the angels, your personal touch!
