Get your favorite scary movie read on the radio!

Do you like my pumpkin, well his not mine just one I found and thought was cute and I wanted to share with you guys this Halloween 2006! I am so excited that it's Halloween even though the kids in Pike County have already went trick or treating.

After work tonight I am going to have a marathon of Halloween movies, by the way they freak me completely out! I am the biggest baby when it comes to scary movies! I know that this sounds totally cheesy but my favorite scary movies are the Jeepers Creepers movies I even like part two.....You know the part where the scary monster man is looking at them through the bus window and is sniffing out the ones who had fear inside them.......... yeah that part still gives me nightmares!

What's your favorite scary movie? Leave me a comment and I will read them over the air tonight when I am on. Just leave your name, where you are from, and your favorite horror movie and I will announce them between 6pm-8pm!

Happy Halloween

My Third Monday Morning Mood Swing!

Happy Monday (if there is such a thing)

So I'm sure everybody had a fun filled weekend with all the Halloween parties and such but now its over and if you can come out of your sugar induced coma long enough to read this blog I hope you enjoy my mood swing on Nicole Richie!

Nicole Richie, who is she? Well, she's daughter to famous singer Lionel Richie not to be confused with Little Richie......She's a star of her own reality show The Simple life, she's best friends with Paris Hilton, but more recently Nicole Richie is famous for her weight or better yet lack there of! You may remember Nicole when she first came out of rehab for her drug addiction, she had put on a little weight, but still was far from fat, but considering she was best friends and co-stars with the ULTRA slim Paris Hilton anyone would look a little pudgy! She decided to go on a diet and boy did she go on a diet. She reportedly went from 130lbs to 80lbs! That's pretty incredible. The media immediately took notice to the drastic weight loss, and started rumors that she was anorexic, and it's kind of like duh, but still it was on the cover of every tabloid from here to Kalamazoo (by the way that really is a place)

Nicole decided that she needed to speak out against the rumors that she had an eating disorder, so where did she go....A talk show of course, Tyra Banks talk show to be exact. Tyra asked her flat out "Do you have an eating disorder." In which Nicole replied, "Absolutely NOT."

Which brings to my point and the mood swing I am about to express!
TODAY NICOLE RICHIE CHECKED HERSELF IN TO REHAB! What kind of rehab you ask, well sources say she just couldn't hind her eating disorder any longer and needed some professional help, so now she is being treated by professionals and I am just thrilled! Nicole my prayers are with you, you can beat this!

Girls, young and old here what I say! DO NOT let this happen to you! You are beautiful no matter what size pants you wear! Please, believe me when I say it's not worth loosing your health.

Be safe Z-Rockers!

Attention Z-Rock listeners!

I really want this blog to be about safety I know I'm not your mother or your keeper but still I know there is going to be MORE than a few Halloween Parties this weekend and have fun but most of all stay safe. No drinking and driving I mean seriously it's soooo lame! The last thing in the world that makes you look cool is drinking and driving if nothing else it makes you look like an idiot!

My point and I know you are excited to hear this is......................If you most drink (which is nasty to begin with) drink in a place where you will be staying all night and if you go to a place you will be leaving take a DD, I would volunteer but I obviously have to work!

Here's the Picture!

Well here you go Z-Rock listeners! The picture of me as a cowgirl! What do you think? Do I make a good cowgirl? Thanks Gretchen Butcher (a zrock listener from Pike County) for the great costume idea!

God Bless

I was a cowgirl!................

Z-Rockers

Thank you so much for all your great ideas on what I should dress up as for Halloween! I went with the idea of Gretchen Butcher from Pike County she thought a cowgirl would be a good costume and so did I! I will try and get you all some pictures up asap! I went to the Y this morning and handed out candy to special needs kids. It was so amazing those kids were so grateful just to be there, they didn't care a thing about the candy they were just thrilled with the people and costumes they got to see! I met one really sweet boy, he loved my cow girl hat! And then (get this) I got proposed too! How lucky am I! Sure he was only 10 but he was a doll baby!

I realized how incredibly blessed I am and that I should utilize my God given good health to make other (less fortunate) peoples' lives more fulfilling. And so should you, if you are able to volunteer, whether it be at a nursing home, or animal shelter, you should!

Well got go, I hope that you all have an amazing Trick or Treat night tonight, and for those of you who are 20 and still trick or treating give it up, your time has passed, just steal some from your baby brother, I'm sure he won't mind sharing!

True Love......Or just a helping hand..this one is funny!

Z-Rockers

On my lunch break a few days ago, I went to my usual fast food food place, and while waiting in the drive through (which is always incredible backed-up) I noticed that a couple well up in to their 80's had pulled in and parked. The older man got out and waited patiently on he's wife to come around the back side of their van. There he reach his hand out and took hers. (My heart just melted, they still held hands, true love does still exist!) They walked particularly slow, (either due to old age or just due to the simple fact that they had rushed their whole lives and now had decided to slow down) "I'm betting on the first one"............Anyways I observed the two making their way through the parking lot and as they passed in front of my car I couldn't help but roll down my window and ask, "excuse me, but may I ask how long you two have been married?" The old lady shouted back "60 years.....Why you asking?" I said in my most kind voice "Because you're still holding hands and I find that incredibly romantic." then to my dismay the old man yelled back at me, "I ain't holding her hand honey, she can't see a thing and if I don't lead her she'll fall or hit something for sure!"

What! I thought to my self as I quickly rolled my window back up so he wouldn't see me bust out in laughter. So much for true love and romance, he wasn't holding her hand he was LEADING HER! While, I found the whole situation incredibly funny, I felt a little disappointed I wanted to believe they were just so in love that they HAD to hold hands and show the world!

Later on while driving home from work I got to thinking about the old man and woman. They WERE still in love. That was the whole reason he was holding her hand (ok....ok.....So he was leading her) but still he was doing it out of love! He didn't want her to fall, she depended on him, and he was there to guide her, so in a round and about way, it was true love, otherwise he would have let her run smack dab in to one of the many, many cars in the restraunt parking lot.

The bottom line is true love and romance is still alive and well, its not always expressed with kisses, hugs, or even holding hands, sometimes its shown by just simply making sure you spouse doesn't fall....(literally)

Scaring your co-workers senseless!

Z-Rockers

In honor of Halloween Andrew Joyce (the radio stations sports director) decided to place a fake spider on the coffee creamer when no one was looking! Debbie Lawson one of the most beloved employees here at the radio station was the first person to find the unwanted coffee creamer guest! Debbie poured her a nice BIG cup of STEAMING HOT coffee and went to add in the much needed creamer, to the overly stout coffee (thanks Randy Jones) but before the creamer could even begin pouring, Debbie saw the spider and let out the most horrific screech and poured her coffee all down her self! OUCH.................. Poor Debbie! But luckily she was a good sport and retreated to the bathroom to clean her self off, while Andrew re-set the spider up for the next un-suspecting victim! Its been 15 minutes now and I haven't heard any shouts or screams from the kitchen but it's really only a matter of time. This business can not function without coffee!

I suspect this is not a isolated incident, I anticipate many more scary pranks to come between now and Halloween! Bloody notes on windows, fake snakes wrapped around the toilets, eye balls in our mail boxes! I can see it all now! I just hope I can fly under the radar, I do NOT like being scared! I just wonder what's going to happen when they scare the wrong person! Not everyone is as accepting to being scared senseless as Mrs. Debbie Lawson was, but for the most part I think our employees can roll with the punches and laugh off any Halloween scare tactics are in store!

What kind of Halloween pranks have you pulled on friends, family and co-workers? E-mail some of them to me so I can read them on air! You don't have to put your name if you don't want too, but leave me a comment with your story or e-mail it to tiamaria@1075zrock.com and I will read them on the air!

My Second Monday Morning Mood Swing!

Let me start by saying Happy Monday, (if there is such a thing)

Are you ready for my Second Monday Morning Mood Swing?

Today's mood swing is about Keith Urban and his addiction to Drugs and or Alcohol! We all know who Keith Urban is right? He's the hot Australian Country music singer who is married to the beautiful Nicole Kidman! Well, underneath Keith Urbans dreamy voice, and good looks is just a man who despite he's success, has yet to learn how to deal with he's insane popularity and fame! He has admitted he has a drug and or alcohol problem and check himself in to rehab. For those of you who thought you have already heard this story, don't worry your not crazy, you have. Urban just recently announced (before he's wedding to Kidman) that he was clean and sober. Unfortunately he, as a recovering addict thought he could have just one drink or maybe just one pill and slipped right back in to what he was trying to escape in the first place! He released a statement apologizing for the hurt he has caused he's wife, family, and fans and says that with out he's incredible support system he wouldn't be able to work through this hard time but know that he can recover and bounce back!

So here's my mood swing, first Kudos Keith for admitting that you have a problem and getting the help you need. But, my goodness it's called learning from your mistakes, you have been down this road before. Stop disappointing people who love you and be a man! Stay on the straight and narrow as hard as it may be sometimes, the drugs and alcohol can't keep you warm at night, but your wife (Nicole) can! But never the less I do respect your decision to seek treatment (even if it is your second attempt to stay sober) Good luck and I am praying for you!

What makes a good Haunted House?

Z-rockers

I am so thankful I made it through another week! Friday can NEVER come soon enough. But now.............. on to planning my weekend, Sunday I am thinking of being brave enough to enter in to one of the thousands of Haunted Houses all across the Eastern half of Kentucky! Seriously, I have seen Haunted trails, houses, and even fire departments, the question is which one do I want to spend my $5.00 on?

What makes a good haunted house?

Is it the blood and ooze or just simply the spookiness of not being able to see in front of you. For the record I DON'T like blood and gore. I am ok with it...... I just don't find it scary, to me its more or less gross! I don't want to be grossed out, I want to be scared! So there is one (amongst my many) Haunted House stipulations, Scary NOT Gross.

Next I like to see what's going on in front of me.....Don't make it SOOOO dark that you don't even know if it's scary cause you can't see ANYTHING! I like to see what creepy ghost are walking beside me otherwise it could just be some teenager in he's smelly football uniform brushing up against me and that's not even cool.

Too, I like for the haunted house to be long enough to enjoy. Don't ask me to give you $5.00 and then walk me through a minute and a half, haunted house. That's so not fair, I want some bang for my buck!

Lastly, I'm all about two part haunted adventures. Take me on a Haunted Hay Ride TO the Haunted House and I am one happy camper, now that's bang for your buck! I wouldn't even mind paying a little more. HEY, if you're going to give me a two part haunted adventure I'm willing to pay the price.

So what makes a Haunted House Good in my opinion?
1. Scary Not Gross
2. Dark but not too dark
3. Long enough to enjoy (no short haunted houses)
4. Two part Haunted Adventures (Hay ride and Haunted House....That's bang for your buck)

So if any of you know about any Haunted Houses around, that can offer me the perfect Haunted House by my standards, please let me know. E-mail me tiamaria@1075zrock.com

Oh and by the way, support these Haunted Houses, almost all of them are trying to raise money for a good cause. Fire Departments, School programs, church's, and other organizations, almost always use all proceeds to help their cause!

So....I can't be a smurf

Howdy Ho faithful Z-Rock Listeners,

It's Thursday and not a whole lot goes on in the mind of Tia Maria on Thursday's, honestly its worse than Hump Day (Wednesday of course) but, I have been pondering on choices. Weather you're in Middle School, High School, or maybe even college you have to make a choice of what you are going to do with your life. As a child, we never really set around thinking "Gosh, I can't wait to grow up and be a single parent working at McDonald's." So why do we make the choice to become that person?

Don't get me wrong I know that sometimes in life you get thrown curve balls, but we can either choose to be the all star of the game and hit the ball out of the park, or be the bat boy who cleans up after the game! And don't let people tell you that you can't be who you want to be. Those people are just scared that you may end up having the life they have only dreamed of having! Jealousy, I believe to this day is STILL the root of all evil!

So, on this Thursday think about the choices you have made that have put you where you are today, and then ponder on the choice that you will make tomorrow! Choose to have the life you dreamed of as a little kid.............Of Course if you were like me and had aspirations of being a smurf well you better just let that dream go, I had to, cause no matter how hard you try, people frown on painting your body blue and wearing a white pointy hat to job interviews. Believe it or not there's not really a market out there for smurf's anymore! But seriously, I know you have heard this more than once, life is only what you make of it. Choose to become a fry cook you will become a fry cook, choose to be a doctor you will be a doctor! And you know what, if a fry cook is what you want to be, GO FOR IT! I hear there's really good money in managerial positions!

Anyways, my point is make yourself happy! There's nothing wrong with believing in yourself!

To be or not to be or better yet....What to be?

Greetings Z-Rock listeners!

As we all know Halloween is just around the corner, and if your like me, you love dressing up and becoming something else for the night. For 364 days a year I'm just Tia, the blonde chick who works at the radio station. But on Halloween I can be............ Trina the traveling gypsy, or Carl the two headed Zombie, or Fiona the damsel in Distress. Sure, I may be 21 and still dress up for Halloween.....Its not immature........ I like to think of it as delaying the aging process as long as possible. I promise at 30 I'll stop dressing up. Well maybe...........

So now to my dilemma...................WHAT AM I GOING TO DRESS UP AS THIS HALLOWEEN? I have racked my Brian, and NOTHING! I thought I could be a pirate in honor of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, then once I went and watch Pirates of the Caribbean 2 and HATED it, I just don't think I can bring myself to put on a pirates hat and say arrrrg! Then I thought briefly about dressing up as cop but I'm afraid that if I show up at a party everyone will start yelling Poe Poe and scram, and since I don't want to break up the party that costume is out of the question. HAHAHAHAHA!

So here's where you come in! What do you think I should dress up as for Halloween? Seriously, send me your ideas and whichever one I like best I will wear! I will even take pictures and post them on our website.....Halloween is coming soon so email your ideas today..... tiamaria@1075zrock.com I am so excited to see what you all come up with and if I pick your costume to wear I will send you a cool prize.....I'm thinking some movie passes to see Saw III will be a fitting prize!

Until tomorrow Be safe, Have fun, Listen to Z-Rock, Love ya

Does that make me crazy?

Hello Listeners,

If you were ever listening to Z-Rock when I played the song, Crazy by Gnarls Barkley you would know that I tell you all a "does that make me crazy story." I thought I would list some of my "Does that make me crazy stories," for those of you who may have missed them.

1. I flush public toilets with my foot, so if you ever see me coming out of a bathroom stall, please know that I just used my foot to flush.........Does that make me Crazy?

2. I can't touch a newspaper! The feeling of a newspaper gives me chills down my spine. Seriously its the same as nail down a chalk board, I just CAN NOT handle the feel of a newspaper.......Does that make me crazy?

3. I have to make a wish whenever a clock reads 10:10 11:11 or 12:12 if I don't........All is wrong in the universe! I have tried to break myself but if I see 10:10 11:11 or 12:12 on a clock and don't make a wish I can't possibly function properly the rest of my day........Does that make me Crazy?

4. I can't just put the gas pump in my gas tank and let it pump until it is full and then go pay for it, unless of course it (by some miracle) kicks off at like $25.00..........I guess what I am trying to say is I will put an extra dollar, two, or even three in my pump rather than pay $25.01 I always have to go up to the next dollar. Even if this means letting the gas run out of the pump and on to the ground......Does that make me Crazy?

Well there you have it four "does that make me Crazy" stories right in a row, enjoy! Oh and if any of these stories do make me crazy please let me know..... tiamaria@1075zrock.com email me I can handle the truth. And if you have a does that make me crazy story, email that to me as well and I will read it over the air.

Until next time Be safe, Have fun, Listen to Z-Rock, Love ya

My First Monday Morning Mood Swing!

This is something new........Its called My Monday Morning Mood Swing! Every Monday I will have my current mood swing opinion on a celebrity, it may be good it may be bad, but this Monday Morning Mood Swing is about Anna Nicole Smith and her son Daniel!

Hey my lovely listeners! I was just picking through a magazine I bought over the weekend and one of the articles says "Was it Murder?" With a big picture of Anna and her son underneath it! Although I am sick and tired of people not letting Daniel (Anna's son) just Rest In Peace, I have to say I was intrigued enough to read the article! Daniel's Grandmother (Anna's Mother) said that Daniel would NEVER kill himself and that the drugs in he's system had to be given to him because he would never voluntarily OD! Which, may be completely true, Daniel may NEVER have intended to OD I mean the reports say it was an accident! Perhaps he didn't know what he was taking was going to kill him. The Grandmother also criticizes Anna for getting married only days after Daniel death! Come on Grandma.... How can you expect Anna Nicole to know what she's doing she was probably so messed up she didn't know what world she was in! Don't get me wrong I'm not taking up for little Miss Anna Nicole but she needs some major rehab and fast! I guess my point is the poor boy lost his life in such a tragic manor we should all just let him rest in peace. Did you guys know they still haven't even burred his body. Yeah, I know isn't that creepy!

Oh yeah, and Anna came out of her drug induced stupor long enough to name her new baby girl ......She named her DannieLynn, after her son! And lets not even talk about who the real father is. Could it be Howard K. Stern (the attorney) or will it be The reporter she was dating? I think my next door neighbor Joe may be the father I mean we are talking about ANNA NICOLE SMITH here! The bum on the corner could be the father for all we know!

Well until my next Monday Morning Mood Swing...........Be Safe Have Fun Listen to Z-Rock Love ya!
